Sister Lisa Staley, female
Lisa is an experienced nurse who has been at the practice for several years and specialises in Asthma and COPD. Lisa is also the practice lead for infection control and is a qualified nurse prescriber. Lisa has recently successfully completed her physical assessment and clinical reasoning course enabling her to extend further her clinical knowledge.
Jessica Davies
(RGN)
Jessica has recently qualified as a registered nurse having completed some of her training in St Catherine’s’ Surgery. She is undertaking training to become our diabetic lead nurse and is expertly mentored by Lisa.
Both Nurses are able to offer pre-bookable appointments for the following:
- Vaccinations and immunisations (including ‘flu, shingles and child immunisations)
- Cervical screening
- Long term condition reviews
- General health and self-care advice
- NHS travel vaccinations
Healthcare assistants
Emma Howey, female
Emma joined the practice in September 2018. She trained as a healthcare assistant in a large Hospital so has a wealth of experience to offer our patients. She is able to assist the nurses with influenza vaccinations and wound care. Emma assists Dr Crouchman with his minor operations clinic and Dr Barden with contraceptive device fittings and removals..
Pre-bookable appointments are available with Emma for:
- Dressings
- ECGs
- Blood pressure check
- Hypertension reviews
- Smoking cessation
- NHS adult health checks (by invitation)
Health visitors
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
Attached staff
We also have district nurses; health visitors, midwives, advanced physiotherapy practitioners, emergency care practitioners, community mental health nurses and a pharmacist who are not directly employed by the practice but work as part of the practice team.
