Patient care navigators
Patient care navigators handle all our telephone calls , emails and website enquiries. They are trained to be able to efficiently assist you with your query. In order to get you to the right person at the right time, they may ask a few questions to assess the urgency, they will be tactful and all details remain confidential. Our GPs have trained them to do this as information gathering for them, not because the patient care navigator is trying to diagnose you. Patient care navigators will also be able to help you with routine enquiries and may suggest you see or speak to another healthcare professional as not all issues are best dealt with by a GP.
Patient care advisors
Our patient care advisors are based on the reception desk. They do not handle incoming telephone calls but do help with emails and website enquiries. Their priority is to care for patients and visitors attending the practice. They can check you in for your appointment, advise you if the clinician you are seeing is running on time and assist with any actions needed after your consultation. If you need anything while you are waiting to be seen, our patient care advisors are there to help you.
Please note, the patient care team are not clinically trained and cannot interpret results. They can however inform you of any comments which the doctor may have made after reviewing them.
Patient support coordinator
Our capable patient support coordinator deals with any referrals which the doctor may make and will also be able to assist you with any e-Referral queries you may have. She also coordinates the transfer of paper and electronic records in and out of the practice when patients join and leave.
Pharmacy coordinator
For any prescription queries, our experienced pharmacy coordinator is available to offer help. She is able to issue repeat prescriptions up to a maximum amount before they need GP review and works very closely with our clinical pharmacists.
Clinical coder
All incoming correspondence to the practice is attached to the relevant patients record and certain information is coded by our trained clinical coder. She is clinically supervised by Dr Jackson.
